Janet Klimowski graduated top of her class from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Musical Theatre. As a performer, she has worked with a wide array of theater companies in and around the Philadelphia area including The Walnut Street Theatre, The Kimmel Center, 11th Hour Theatre Company, and many others. Janet has performed in several NYC Cabarets at the famous Don't Tell Mama cabaret theater, featuring the original music of new and upcoming musical theater composers and lyricists, as well as a tribute concert to Cyndi Lauper. She has sung with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops Festival Chorus, as well as at the Academy of Music 152nd Anniversary Concert, featuring guest artist James Taylor!

 

As an educator, Janet has been teaching for over 12 years, with students’ ages ranging from 3 years old to adult. She has taught dance, acting, and voice, as well as professionally choreographing at an Equity theater. She has also music directed various children’s theatre productions as well as a middle school show choir for the past 6 years. Janet’s students have successfully gone on to secure roles in their school productions, community theater, local professional theater, and even Broadway!!

 

She lives in Washington Township with her husband and 3 kids, who always keep her on her toes! Janet is excited to be at Dance! by Debra DiNote teaching voice, and looks forward to helping her student’s voices shine!
